Genesis v1.19.100 Release Notes
October 24, 2026Highlights
- A new header activity strip shows live counts of active users, threads, agents, missions, and Context Graph nodes, each opening a drill-down of the work behind it.
- Connect Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and other sources from a form card in chat, then follow a guided start to a first result on your data.
- Databricks workspaces that forbid personal access tokens can run every AI call through a service principal, with Unity AI Gateway model routing supported.
- Plan mode lets the agent research and plan in a thread without changing real systems, recording who turned it on and who approved leaving it.
- Admins can view monthly usage counts in the Metrics Dashboard and download them as a file with an integrity hash to share with Genesis.
- Migrated Workshop apps can now write data back through comments and add or edit forms, running as the signed-in viewer under Action Review.
- Data migration plans now show diagrams of today’s system and the proposed system side by side, so approvers can see exactly what they are approving.
Upgrade Notes
- Configure AI providers in Genesis settings, which now override server environment values. To turn off native Cortex, set the Cortex provider admission to deny.
- Add the channels:read and groups:read scopes, plus groups:history if missing, to older Slack apps and reinstall them to use channel monitors and read private channels.
- Monitors limited to named Slack posters run as a non-admin user; set their identity option to keep admin.
- Save a GitHub connection for agents that act on pull requests, and set a commit author address on git connections that use a personal account token.
- Set a default Google Workspace connection: with several, Sheets tools no longer use service-account keys.
- Review per-user Databricks allowlists before upgrading: internal checks now refuse callers not entitled.
- For Foundry migrations, grant the Databricks job identity create schema on the target catalog, recompile geopoint or duration pipelines, and rerun migrated Quiver dashboards.
- Refresh the template and redeploy migrated Workshop apps, restarting them on Databricks, to get this release’s fixes; check number precision and drop custom title-bar CSS.
- Remove manage_all_sandboxes from custom role files, which otherwise fail to apply, and grant the settings permission to people who manage Genesis Enhancements in chat.
- Self-hosted: give fresh Helm and unattended Docker installs a client and instance name, add 127.0.0.1 to hand-set trusted proxies for sidecars, and roll forward only.
- Datasets without a retention setting keep 30 snapshots; set keep-last to 0 before upgrading to keep all.
- Update API integrations: send an empty grants list to clear grants, accept new code execution and mission statuses, and read capped-query flags instead of total row counts.
Improvements
- Approval rules and permissions now live in Settings, and approvals are decided from the Queue.
- Stop from Slack, Teams, or typed chat now halts agent work and running tools like the web Stop button.
- Admins choose which roles new users get, and outside hosted mode the last administrator can no longer be removed or deleted by hand.
- New threads start with every connection the agent can use; agent managers can set a narrower default working context on the Data Access tab.
- Work bundles move selected missions and threads, with their linked work, between Genesis servers; a preview shows what an import would add.
- Model tiers on Genesis defaults switch only once the provider serves the new default, and notify admins.
- Admins can set a LiteLLM Proxy fallback model, and AI sign-ins that cannot renew warn 15 minutes ahead with a Reconnect button.
- Blueprint Missions can restart an unfinished phase with a fresh context, keeping completed work.
Bug Fixes
- In migrated Workshop apps, rows with charts, maps, tables, or tabs no longer shrink and overlap.
- In goal-mode chats, a message sent mid-turn keeps its sender, so next steps no longer ask you to type go.
- LiteLLM Proxy saves now keep the chosen credential policy, such as Shared service account, and the exact model names entered instead of reverting to defaults.
- Snowflake native app upgrades now keep your chosen query warehouse instead of resetting it.
