Overview

_modify_slack_allow_list – Enables Eve to manage permissions for Slack users, controlling which users are allowed to interact with Genbots. How To Use Eve can set which Slack users are permitted to message Genbots. The access control operates as follows:
  • Direct Messages: If a non-permitted user attempts to direct message a Genbot, the bot will politely decline to engage with them.
  • Channel Mentions: If a non-permitted user tags a Genbot in a channel, the bot will decline to respond to that user.
  • Thread Participation: In threads involving both permitted and non-permitted users, the Genbot can view the entire conversation but will only respond fully to messages from permitted users.
In the example below, we demonstrate how to instruct Eve to grant and revoke permissions for specific users.
