# v1.3.1

> Genesis Data Agents v1.3.1 release notes — December 14, 2025

## v1.3.1 — December 14, 2025

### Powering observability, access control, and model governance for enterprise AI

#### Digital Twin for Your Data Landscape

A new Digital Twin experience lets you visualize how data moves across your ecosystem.

* Explore a visual DAG of data resources and flows (initial demo view behind `GENESIS_SHOW_TWIN`)
* See connections between databases, Git repositories, and other systems
* Launch blueprints and ask Eve questions directly from Twin context
* Use this as the foundation for automated lineage and resource-aware missions

#### End‑to‑End Data Lineage from Code Repositories

Genesis can now crawl Git repositories to build a deep data lineage graph.

* Automatically discovers data dependencies and transformations from Git code
* Stores a rich lineage graph with hierarchical querying capabilities
* Registers and manages data sources across Git, Snowflake, Tableau, and Salesforce
* Uses blueprint‑driven multi‑phase scanning workflows for repeatable analysis

#### Centralized Model Universe for LLM Governance

Model Universe brings all your LLM models into a single, curated catalog.

* Browse and manage models across multiple providers from one UI
* Assign models to roles and use cases with clear governance
* Use recommended configurations for common workloads
* Power agents with consistent, centrally managed model choices

#### License Key System for Controlled Deployments

An enterprise‑grade license system enables offline, cryptographically verified activation.

* RSA‑signed license keys with offline verification (no external calls required)
* Configure hard or soft enforcement for expiration and agent‑slot limits
* Activation and status UI under the Config panel for admins
* Flexible bypass controls for SPCS or non‑enforced environments

#### Rich Thread Search Across All Agents

Finding past conversations is now dramatically easier with semantic thread search.

* Hybrid search over all threads (lexical + semantic) backed by ChromaDB
* Smart snippets show the most relevant part of each conversation
* Multi‑bot search with agent filters and a "Search Chats" modal in the UI
* Background indexing and one‑time backfill to cover historical threads

#### RBAC Enhancements and Safer Access by Default

Role‑based access control is now deeper and more visible across the product.

* New `rbac_action` tool allows Eve to manage roles, permissions, and agent access
* Config and Pulse panels, and "Create New Agent" are now gated by RBAC permissions
* Chat routes and default landing pages respect agent‑level access rules
* User Info page now shows RBAC roles as badges for easier troubleshooting
* Configurable default roles for new users to streamline onboarding

#### Improved Agent Slot Visibility and Control (CWA Monitor)

Capacity management is clearer and easier to operate.

* New Pulse views for "Concurrently Working Agents" (CWA Monitor)
* Dedicated CWA Monitor page replaces the old Agent Slots terminology
* Slot listings show which bot and thread hold each slot, plus waiting threads
* New `WAITING_FOR_SLOT` status for blueprint phases and background work
* Chat and blueprint cooldowns help prevent rapid slot churn

#### Enterprise‑Grade Connectors and Deployment Options

Genesis expands its integration and deployment surface.

* **Bitbucket Integration**: Full support for Bitbucket Cloud and Server, including credentials, repositories, and pull requests
* **GCP Cloud Run Tools**: Eve can now build, deploy, and manage containerized applications on Cloud Run, plus manage GCP secrets and send Slack webhook notifications
* **LiteLLM Proxy Support**: Route model traffic through a LiteLLM proxy with centralized configuration, model discovery, and UI management

#### Developer and UX Productivity Improvements

A set of enhancements makes everyday work smoother for both operators and developers.

* AG Grid–based Data Explorer for large result sets with export and column metadata
* Pinned threads, inline rename, and thread visibility controls (private/public)
* Cleaner navigation to agents using `bot_id` and improved default‑agent routing
* New Agent Slots / CWA metrics surfaced in Pulse and the chat experience
* Auto‑generated changelog documentation and improved weekly Git activity reports

#### Preview / Beta Features

These capabilities are powerful but may still evolve based on feedback.

* **Digital Twin Navigation** (feature‑flagged via `GENESIS_SHOW_TWIN`): early, demo‑focused DAG of your data and resource graph
* **Model Universe**: centralized model catalog and role‑based model assignments for multi‑provider environments
* **Thread Search Indexing**: semantic search across historical conversations, including backfill and hybrid ranking

#### What This Means for You

**🔐 Tighter Governance and Access Control**

You get clearer, more enforceable control over who can access which agents, panels, and capabilities, backed by a richer RBAC toolset and license enforcement.

**📊 Deeper Observability and Operational Insight**

From CWA Monitor to Digital Twin and thread search, it’s easier to understand how your agents, data flows, and conversations behave over time—and to quickly find the context you need.

**🧠 Smarter, More Manageable AI Stack**

Model Universe, LiteLLM Proxy support, and new Bedrock models give you more flexibility in how you select, govern, and route models across workloads.

**🚀 Faster Developer and Ops Workflows**

Git lineage, enhanced scheduler behavior, Cloud Run tools, and AG Grid Data Explorer all help teams ship data and AI features faster with clearer feedback loops.

***

#### Under the Hood

* Refined context‑parameter injection and tool execution to preserve explicit arguments while still injecting safe defaults
* Standardized thread metadata with `thread_purpose` and `is_hidden` flags, improving ownership, visibility, and background‑job handling
* Expanded scheduler capabilities with better validation, user context propagation, and clearer job IDs
* Improved SQLite and RBAC database handling, including more robust path validation and SQLAlchemy 2.0 migrations
* Numerous UI refinements across search, navigation, metrics, and configuration screens

If you’d like to explore any of these capabilities in your own environment—Digital Twin, Model Universe, CWA Monitor, or Cloud Run deployments—I can help you map them to your current data and infrastructure.
