# v1.19.86

> Genesis Data Agents v1.19.86 release notes

## Genesis v1.19.86 Release Notes

**August 6, 2026**

Highlights:

* Agents can now connect to Salesforce and HubSpot, and a person must approve every record merge.
* Confluence requests run with the requesting user's permissions.
* Thread compression is substantially faster.
* Microsoft Teams users can reply in channel threads without tagging the bot again.

This release also improves provider routing, configuration safety, and migration verification.

#### Business System Connectors

Agents can now work with Salesforce and HubSpot from chat. Every record merge waits for a person's approval.

* **Agents can read Salesforce records from chat through a new Salesforce connector.** Every merge is held for explicit human approval. If nobody approves it, it does not run.
* **A new HubSpot connector lets agents read and update records.** Merges follow the same approval process across CRM providers, rather than each connector implementing its own process.
* **Confluence can now authenticate each connection with User OAuth.** Requests run as the requesting user and honor that person's Confluence permissions, rather than using one shared identity.
* **Salesforce connection setup is easier to complete.** The name field no longer appends text to its own suggestion. If a grant fails, the page shows the OAuth redirect URI, so you can see which value to register with Salesforce.

#### Connections and Configuration

Configuration changes now protect stored credentials and preserve values that should not be overwritten.

* **Resetting Advanced Settings no longer deletes secrets, values locked by the environment, or configuration rows that are not settings.** A reset now changes only the settings it is meant to change.
* **Secret fields remain protected even when a configuration path uses different capitalization.** A path that differed only by case could previously overwrite a stored API key.
* **When you import a connection bundle, the original owner remains assigned.** Genesis no longer reassigns ownership to the person who performs the import.
* **If a live Snowflake service has no external access integration, Genesis attaches the integration stored in configuration.** A service that lost its integration can now recover without manual repair.
* **Operators can now choose how long an inactive model stream may remain open.** Genesis previously read this timeout from an undeclared field, so operators could not change it from 900 seconds.

#### AI Providers

Chats, model discovery, and credential handling now work more reliably across Bedrock, Databricks, and LiteLLM Proxy.

* **Genesis no longer sends Claude models on Databricks a schema for structured output that they silently discard.** This removes one source of malformed responses.
* **LiteLLM Proxy refreshes the model list when you open Change Models.** Newly available models now appear without a restart.
* **Genesis reports an error when it cannot discover proxy models.** It no longer shows an empty list that makes the provider look as though it has no models.
* **Editing a LiteLLM Proxy OAuth connection no longer erases its saved service-account headers.** Those values are secrets, so the form shows them masked rather than filled in. Saving the page with those fields left blank used to overwrite the stored values with nothing. Genesis now keeps them, and refuses the update instead of saving a partial configuration when it cannot read the current values.

#### Chat, Threads, and Context

Long threads now compress faster and leave much more of the context window available for conversation.

* **Thread compression runs faster and is needed less often.** Context management optimizations conserve tokens and delay the need for compression.
* **Large file edits no longer copy all changed content back into the chat.** This conserves tokens and delays the need for compression.
* **Agents now copy files directly on the server.** The agents are steered to avoid copying large files via LLM tokens. This improves performance, ensures accuracy and conserves tokens.

#### Microsoft Teams

* **After a channel thread starts, you can reply without tagging the bot again.** The conversation now continues naturally.
* **Operators now see why a bot has no Teams adapter.** Genesis no longer skips the bot without an explanation.
* **When an operator switches off a bot, Teams no longer serves it.**

#### Agents, Tools, and Git

When agents work with files and repositories, they now use the current branch and report errors clearly.

* **Repository file views and directory listings now use the branch you have checked out.** They no longer read from the default branch.
* **Bots and blueprints that request a retired tool group now receive the current file and Git tools.** Previously, they received no file or Git tools and no warning.
* **Structured file reads no longer return part of a file without warning.** Genesis detects clipped content instead of relying only on the file extension, so agents do not receive incomplete JSON that appears complete but cannot be parsed.
* **A file write now reports a Git error once.** It no longer repeats the same message four times when the remote is unreachable.
* **Genesis does not open a pull request if doing so would omit local commits.**

#### Flows, Missions, and Genesis Apps

* **When a scheduled Flow keeps failing, operators receive a notification.** Failures no longer accumulate unseen.
* **The server token for a Genesis App now reports which routes in the platform API it can access.** App authors can see the token's actual reach instead of discovering its limits by trial.
* **Genesis now provisions the assets that presentation decks need at runtime.** Decks render without additional setup.

#### Migration Verification and System Diff

* **Migration verification now detects a column type that changed incorrectly.** It no longer reports that migration as verified.
* **When you seal a renamed column or changed type through the spec dialog, Genesis now checks it.** Previously, Genesis accepted these sealed entries but never verified them.
* **System Diff now shows DDL rejections instead of silently retrying them.** A rejected statement appears as a result rather than entering a loop.

#### Platform Operations

* **Startup log rotation no longer removes a log file while its writer still has the file open.** This change removes a cause of lost log output after a restart.
* **Genesis automatically indexes document collections that have no index when it starts.** Documents stranded by an earlier configuration change become searchable again without operator action.

#### Security

* **Container base images now include updates to the operating system and dependencies.** These updates address known vulnerabilities in bundled components, including `linux-libc-dev`, and add further fixes to the main application image.

### Deployment Artifacts

Use these exact references when deploying this release:

* **Genesis release:** `v1.19.86` (promoted from `v1.19.86-rc.5`)
* **Docker Hub image:** `genesiscomputingai/genesis:v1.19.86`
* **Docker Hub digest:** `genesiscomputingai/genesis@sha256:0411a1cc1bb58abaed5a4df680871042f500016e2d78bd3b6fab25ec69d20d2c`
* **Helm chart:** `oci://registry-1.docker.io/genesiscomputingai/genesis`
* **Helm chart version:** `0.3.65` (`appVersion: v1.19.86`)

### Upgrade Notes

* **Salesforce and HubSpot:** Configure each connector and ask an agent to read a record. Then request a merge and confirm that the approval prompt appears. The merge must not run until someone approves it.
* **Confluence:** Set the connection to User OAuth, then confirm a page the requesting user cannot see is not returned to that user.
* **Advanced Settings:** Reset the settings on a test deployment and confirm that secrets and values locked by the environment remain in place before relying on this behavior elsewhere.
* **AI Providers:** Send a test chat through each configured provider. Confirm that the message completes on Bedrock and that Databricks returns structured responses that can be parsed. In LiteLLM Proxy, open Change Models and confirm that the list is current. If you use OAuth with service-account headers, open that connection, save it without retyping the masked header fields, and confirm the connection still tests successfully.
* **Configuration:** If you previously worked around the timeout for an idle model stream being fixed at 900 seconds, set the timeout explicitly now and confirm that the new value takes effect.
* **Chat:** Continue a long thread until Genesis compresses it, and confirm that compression completes quickly. Make a large file edit and confirm that the result contains a short summary instead of a full copy of the content.
* **Microsoft Teams:** Reply in a channel thread without tagging the bot, and confirm that the agent responds. Switch off a bot and confirm that Teams no longer serves it.
* **Migration verification:** Run verification again for a migration that renames a column or changes its type, and confirm that the result matches the actual schema.
* **Validate after upgrade:** Send a test chat message, run a query against each configured connection, and confirm provider status on the overview page for AI providers.
