### **What Genesis Data Agents Can Do For You**

#### **Automate Workflows**

Save time and precious team resources by delegating manual, repetitive tasks. Genesis Data Agents reliably handle processes such as document management, task scheduling, and pipeline automation with accuracy and efficiency.

Reusable workflows can also be packaged as blueprints: upload a blueprint ZIP
to Genesis, ask Eve to install it in the local blueprint catalog or a managed
git-backed repo, and later promote a local install into a managed repo without
uploading the ZIP again.

#### **Create Customized AI Data Agents**

Develop role-specific data agents tailored to your organization’s unique
workflows and challenges using **Eve The Mother of Genesis Data Agents** and
assign specific RBAC roles (`user` for standard access or `admin` for elevated
access — use existing role names only), ensuring each data agent has the skills
necessary to meet your evolving business priorities. Genesis also ships built-in
specialized agents for focused workflows. The MCP agent list gives these seats
short purpose descriptions: **Court-Attorney**, the investigative clerk for
Estate Adjudication Court dockets (see [Court-Attorney Agent](/docs/Genesis-Data-Agents/Court-Attorney-Agent));
**Prover Adjudicator**, which reproduces completed comparison findings and records
typed verdicts (see [The adjudicator](/docs/Genesis-Prover/Overview#4-the-adjudicator));
**Prover Consult**, the read-only ruling service that agents can call through
`request_consult_ruling` to ground one proposed reason against an open finding
(see [Prover Consult Agent](/docs/Genesis-Data-Agents/Prover-Consult-Agent)); and
**Prover Spec Registrar**, which validates and registers migration specifications
(see [The spec-author seat](/docs/Genesis-Prover/Agents-And-The-API#the-spec-author-seat)).
Those agents can also be grounded with
reusable knowledge bases that bundle one or more document indexes, making it
easy to reuse the same curated source material across multiple agents. Assigned
agents search those bundles with `search_knowledge_bases(...)` and read full
documents with `read_knowledge_base_doc(...)` — separate from Genesis's built-in
product documentation (`search_genesis_docs` / `read_genesis_doc`). Operators
with `manage_agents` and `manage_repos` can also publish portable
`agent.yaml` definitions to a managed Git repository so the same agent manifest
can be synced across Genesis instances — see
[Publishing an agent definition to Git](/docs/User-Guide/Agents-Center-And-Skills#publishing-an-agent-definition-to-git).

<Note>
  In [Agents Center and Skills](/docs/User-Guide/Agents-Center-And-Skills),
  optional **Shared instructions** blocks stay enabled by default until you
  disable them for a specific agent. Shared toggle labels now include
  `Progressive tool descriptions`, `Short-term checklist protocol`,
  `Mission/blueprint question protocol`, `Database query result viewers`,
  `Genesis download link formats`, and `Long-thread compression awareness`.
  See [Structured question options](/docs/Blueprint/Blueprint-Branching#structured-question-options)
  for the mission/blueprint question protocol.
  Starting from **Copy Agent** also seeds the new agent with the source
  agent's instruction text; for Eve and Adam, that starter includes the
  built-in persona plus the built-in dynamic instruction sections. New and
  edited agents also have a separate short description field (maximum `500`
  characters) used in agent lists, cards, and the Agent Center overview hero.
</Note>

#### **Meet Users Where They Are**

Genesis data agents integrate with commonly used tools, operating directly within platforms your teams already rely on. Whether it’s **Slack**, **Microsoft Teams (coming soon)**, **Streamlit**, or **email.** Genesis data agents meet users in their native work environments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.

When a workflow needs live UI interaction instead of a simple page read, Genesis data agents can also open interactive browser sessions to navigate web apps, click controls, fill forms, and validate internal Genesis Apps or external websites. For simple page reads, API calls, or file downloads, use `web_access_tools` instead of a live browser session.

#### **Incorporate State-of-the-Art GenAI**

Operating within BotOS, a model-agnostic AI Operating System, Genesis combines the strengths of external models from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic and other leading LLM providers. This hybrid approach ensures Genesis Data Agents remain at the cutting edge of generative and computational AI advancements.

#### **Genesis Data Agent Orchestration and Delegation**

Enable Genesis Data Agents to function as orchestrators of a **digital assembly line** of data agents. These data agents specialize in individual tasks but collaborate seamlessly under the direction of an orchestrator agent, ensuring complex operations are executed efficiently with dependency tracking for reliability.

#### **Perform Advanced Data Analysis**

All Genesis Data Agents come equipped with built-in database tools to uncover insights from complex datasets. Their analysis can span simple data aggregation to sophisticated data modeling, driving business intelligence across your organization.

For Eve's guidance on using query tools to ground totals and other derived figures, see [Eve (System Manager)](/docs/Genesis-Data-Agents/Eve-System-Manager-Agent).

<Note>
  Early database exploration reflects the connections and harvested metadata
  available in your deployment. The optional Snowflake sample schemas
  `BASEBALL` and `FORMULA_1` appear only when an operator enables
  `INCLUDE_METADATA_SAMPLES=true`.
</Note>

<Note>
  In chat, users can also ground a prompt with Context Graph assets by typing `@` and selecting a scanned node such as a table, dataset, dashboard, microapp, notebook, repository, or other indexed object. Genesis keeps the friendly reference visible in the composer and chat history while resolving the full node context behind the scenes when the prompt is sent. That resolved context can include the node type, source system, summary, columns, neighbors, and DDL when the asset carries one. For open-ended questions about tables, pipelines, jobs, or other indexed assets, Genesis discovers candidates with `search_data_context(...)` before writing SQL or traversing lineage. When a table, view, or procedure still needs full indexed content beyond the attached node metadata, Eve can follow the node with `lineage_action(action="GET_INDEX_DOCUMENT", qualified_name="...")`. When the question is where data comes from, how a table is populated, or what feeds a dashboard or report, Genesis can start with `lineage_action(action="GET_UPSTREAM", qualified_name="...")` to walk upstream lineage before falling back to thread-history recall. Those scanned assets also expose Team Wiki pages that render graph-backed schema, metadata, lineage, and team learnings when available. When `search_data_context(...)` returns a `kind="wiki_learning"` result, Genesis can read `learning_text` directly and follow `anchor_qn` with `wiki_read(...)` if it needs the full Team Wiki page for that anchor. When a regular asset hit includes saved learnings (`learnings_count` greater than `0`), Genesis surfaces up to 3 `top_learnings` headline teasers and can follow `learnings_ref` with `wiki_read(...)` so full caveats, conventions, and historical notes inform the answer when any headline is relevant. In deployments that enable Team Wiki writes (`wiki.write_enabled` is `true` in AppConfig; see [Advanced Settings](/docs/Setup/Advanced-Settings#team-wiki--librarian-settings)), Eve can also save user-authored learnings such as caveats, domain conventions, or data quality warnings back to the matched asset. Agents can also publish metadata from external systems into the Context Graph using [custom scanners](/docs/Genbot-Toolkit/Lineage-Tools#custom-scanners-publishing-extracted-metadata).
</Note>

<Note>
  When a prompt references prior SQL work such as "that report" or "the analysis we did yesterday", Genesis can search past validated queries across earlier threads before drafting new SQL. That recall surfaces reusable query patterns, remembered conventions, and prior rejected approaches so follow-up analyses start from validated context instead of guesswork. If the answer depends on earlier execution details such as SQL results, tool outputs, artifact links, or generated reports, Genesis can also open the matching thread with `read_thread(thread_id="...", include_tool_calls=True)` so the recall includes tool requests and outputs instead of only assistant prose.
  If that query-history recall comes back empty, or a broader cross-thread search is needed, Genesis can fall back to `search_threads(...)` before re-deriving the analysis from scratch.
</Note>

<Tip>
  **Genesis Tip For Snowflake Users**

  Leverage Snowpark with Genesis Data Agents to execute robust Python workflows within Snowflake’s secure environment. Output complex graphs, detailed visualizations, and corporate-ready files such as PDFs directly from Snowpark scripts.
</Tip>

<Note>
  Database tools are read-first by default. If a workflow attempts destructive SQL such as `DROP`, `DELETE`, `TRUNCATE`, or `CREATE OR REPLACE`, Genesis may pause the request and require explicit human approval before the tool is retried with `confirm` set to `true`.
</Note>

#### **Securely Integrate**

Designed for enterprise-grade security and scalability, Genesis Data Agents operate securely using **y**our database's native security to ensure appropriate, role-specific access to tools, data, and resources. Their ability to integrate seamlessly with your existing workflows makes them a trusted asset.

<Note>
  When a workflow needs an API key, password, or token for an arbitrary API, Genesis opens a secure credential prompt immediately and stores the value in the Genesis secret vault. Agents then reuse the returned `secret_*` name at runtime instead of placing credentials in chat history or raw tool arguments. For web/API calls, the stored secret is passed back through structured `auth` settings; for Python execution, stored secrets can be injected as `SECRET_<NAME>` environment variables. When the target is already covered by a saved Connection, such as GitLab `/api/v4/...`, Genesis uses connection-backed tooling instead of asking users to paste PATs or bearer tokens, and prompts them to configure or reauthorize the Connection if needed.
</Note>

#### **Operate Autonomously**

Users can create new autonomous workflows using natural language inputs, enabling Genesis Data Agents to independently handle scheduled processes. This level of automation significantly reduces human intervention on repetitive tasks, allowing your teams to focus on strategic, high-value activities.

For Prover review guidance, see [Prover roles and approvals](/docs/Genesis-Prover/Roles-And-Approvals#who-can-approve).

#### **Continuous Improvement**

Genesis Data Agents are built to learn and optimize their performance over time. Through continuous learning mechanisms, they adapt to evolving enterprise challenges and utilize data patterns to refine their operations and outcomes. Genesis enables businesses to consolidate and capitalize on the diverse array of AI capabilities in a single, integrated solution.
